Corporations invest great amounts of money into advertising campaigns that are informed by psychological research. These campaigns deign to condition ordinary citizens to associate products with good feelings, but sometimes they integrate political views into that conditioning.
For instance, oil companies like ExxonMobil invest heavily into sophisticated propaganda to make consumers feel more responsible for climate change than corporations. Social media companies invest heavily in making people feel dependent on that social media.
Corporations like Cambridge Analytica sometimes do research on psyops techniques that they secretly sold to the military.
