Death is the end of life. It happens to all forms of life that have evolved on Earth, and each species has its own characteristic life span. It is also brought about by natural disaster, illness, accidents, suicide, killing, pollution, starvation, lack of shelter, lack of clean drinking water, and a variety of other factors.
Although nobody has managed to remove the limits of natural lifespan, various improvements to medical knowledge and care have managed to help many people avoid various causes of premature death, and increase lifespan. Conversely, individual people and organizations of people have also caused much death.
Fear of death a desire to live are good reasons for us to build a society that minimizes death and fights against it where possible, even if it can never be completely erased. Every moment of life has the potential to be valuable, and we should aspire to preserve life, in addition to increasing quality of life.
