There are a number of problems in the world that people want to do something about, yet the existing infrastructure that addresses large-scale problem is controlled by the wealthy. Ordinary people have few opportunities to actively change their world. NGOs hoping to improve the world have to reinvent the wheel each time and for each cause, with nowhere to communicate openly about how to pull off change.
To help document our cultural knowledge of how to Resist, The Swarthmore Global Nonviolent Action Database covers a variety of historical grassroots campaigns and third party interventions that were successful (or not). The SEEDING Project had a meeting on July 27 where they discussed the ecosystem of cooperative platforms that create non-capitalist economies. Elemental Accelerator helps get climate-focused nonprofits off the ground.
