About
Issues are problems in the world that Magnova's community hopes to resolve. You can explore them and their sub-issues in the nexus, share key facts about them in the About section of their wiki page, or discuss them to any extent in their talk page.
In the Nexus, broad issues are broken down into sub-issues. By adding a link from issue A to issue B, you are saying:
"B causes A",
"B is a component of A", or
"B creates the conditions for A".
Once an issue is identified, anybody can create projects to address it, or vote on which existing projects they support. The most popular projects will be shown in the nexus, but to see the full list, head to the issue's wiki page.
More about "About"
The About section is primarily about two things: facts and perspectives. Magnova seeks to stimulate logos, pathos, and ethos by encouraging users to include moral arguments for dealing with certain issues in addition to data points about how an issue impacts the world. If you want to get into a conversation and explore the ideas before making a contribution to the about section, head to the talk pages. Once you have a confident grasp on an aspect of the issue you believe is important, edit the About section!
Rather than tell a single story, multiple narratives are welcome. If there's a utilitarian argument against some problem in the About, and you want to take a stab at a virtue ethics approach, create a new sub-section (Format => Blocks => Whatever seems appropriate) and add in your thoughts. See Magnova's own "About" section in the Menu to learn more about our approach.
IMPORTANT NOTE from Lavra
Since Magnova is still early in development, I haven't implemented a very good solution to the problem of multiple people editing at once, and generally have a number of issues to fix with the current storage format. I still need to add in revision history, for instance. When you submit edits, here's my recommended strategy to minimize frustration: write the changes you wish to make in a different text editor, copy them, refresh the page you're editing, paste in the edits, apply any necessary formatting, and save.
